France, in partnership with Italy, wins the twinning project for the benefit of the Algerian phytosanitary services

The Franco-Italian consortium was awarded the twinning “Support to the implementation of a quality approach within the plant protection services and technical controls” whose beneficiaries are the Algerian phytosanitary services.

This twinning aims to improve and strengthen plant and plant control systems to facilitate trade in these products and their export to the European Union and internationally.

This 2-year cooperation program is expected to start in the spring of 2019 with the installation of a long-term expert who will coordinate the participation of MAA and MiPAAF experts (Italian). It will revolve around four axes:
– Regulatory harmonization
– Establishment of a quality management system within phytosanitary control services
– Accompaniment of the laboratories of the support structures for a recognition of their results of analysis and diagnoses
– Preparation for setting up an Information System
